Embassy of Switzerland in Ghana
Happy National Day!
Dear compatriots and friends of Switzerland in Ghana, Togo and Benin
Grüezi, Bienvenue, Benvenuti, Allegra and Akwaaba!
As was the case last year, we are celebrating our Swiss National Day on this 1st August virtually!
Our traditional reception at the Swiss Residence can’t go ahead because of the pandemic, but we are not putting an end to festivities: For the very first time, the Embassy of Switzerland in Ghana, Togo and Benin is launching a dedicated website to showcase a series of personal impressions from Switzerland.
Switzerland is not just characterized by one thing, but the interplay of many. Switzerland exemplifies day in and day out the strength of unity in diversity: Just like our host country of Ghana, Switzerland brings together people from a wide array of social, religious, cultural and linguistic backgrounds! It is a great pleasure and privilege for me as Ambassador to represent Switzerland in its many facets as we collaborate with the governments and people of Ghana, Togo and Benin to strengthen and diversify the longstanding ties between our countries.
On this website, Embassy staff have curated a picture gallery to share with you the wide variety of what Switzerland means to each of them personally.
We hope you enjoy this little virtual “Tour de Suisse” and we look forward to your submissions of what Switzerland means to you at https://www.missione1agosto.org/.
A very happy 1st August!
Ambassador Philipp Stalder
